Believe it or not, almost every chocolatier buys chocolate from a chocolate maker like us then melts it to make their confections (chocolates). This is what they call "making chocolate".
To us, making chocolate actually means "making chocolate".
We start by importing the rarest cocoa beans in the world. We then roast, and grind them into chocolate that meets our exact specifications. We control every step from cocoa bean to chocolate bar. Choklat is truly a luxury chocolate maker and chocolatier.
Custom Made Truffles!
Yes, that's right. We hand make truffles just for you. Whether it's a single truffle or a thousand, YOU pick the centers, the type of chocolate to dip them in, and their coatings. Then you tell us how many you want and when you want them.
Once your order is placed our Oompa Loompas go to work. Your custom truffles will be hand made and carefully wrapped fresh, just for you on the day you need them!

I felt like there is a lot of extraneous packaging around the individual bars (but well done for squeezing them all into the one box! I felt like they would not have shifted or gotten damaged the way the group of bars were packed together). The foil is fine but the plastic surround is huge.

The chocolate was excellent. Having to be home for delivery is inconvenient. I would like to order in the future but would be hesitant to because we must be home. Between the non weekend/evening hours and having to receive the order in person, it makes buying your product extremely difficult. We used to order several hundred dollars worth of product from you every year. Since you moved locations our chocolate consumption has drastically decreased. This is a shame as we love your product and miss the hot chocolate.

Product rating: would prefer a numerical grading 1-10 of Excellence. I think there could be a more exact analytic to record satisfaction. Service Rating: Would like more flexibility in choices of when the ckoklat COULD be delivered than just telling me when it's to be delivered. It's more customer service oriented and driven. I also think that this is the place to also collect testimonials so have another box to encourage your fans to describe their favorite bar, what they eat with it, wine pairings that we enjoy and the people we have shared it with (or not!) This is a great start. Wish the survey didn't cover up the sumptuous pics of your whipped chocolate or product!

Really, your chocolate is oh-so-wonderful and, unlike most give-us-a-review (on everything these days!), I do feel like you really are looking at this to find ways to improve. And we'd be delighted to help out by participating if you run yet another free delivery/special from time to time, just to test your service! I did send an e-mail mentioning that we really, truly did miss the legend with the truffles, to identify each one by colour-wrap - just as you have tasting notes on the bars. That was missed this time around, and we really appreciated it in the December order. I just wanted to give you feedback on the delivery. I noticed that you give Fedex the instructions to not leave the packages at the door unattended because they are perishable, but the Fedex delivery-person did just that and my package was left outdoors.

Fed Ex is the worst. Ordered to Toronto and the tracking is not precise as let changing my delivery date so I was left not knowing what day my delivery would be made and because of this I had to stay home two days this week to ensure I was there for delivery. I'm sure they all suck but please consider using a different delivery service that actually has accurate tracking or is willing to call before delivery. Otherwise, the chocolate is very delicious as expected!
